Portraits and films start with a practical question: what does your work need to communicate, and where does it need to go? A website image, a grant application, a press kit — each one needs something slightly different from the same session, and we plan around that before we pick up a camera.

We shoot in your studio, your space, or wherever the work actually lives. Not a white backdrop. Not a borrowed loft. Something that looks like you, in a place that makes sense for what you make.

Each session ends with files that have somewhere to go.

How it feels on the day

We spend a few minutes in discovery before the shoot — understanding the story and where it needs to go. Direction is gentle: enough structure to avoid awkward silence, loose enough to follow the actual energy of the room. We stay out of the way of the work and keep the session human throughout.
